Nodelink

About Nodelink

A small studio that tells you the inconvenient thing early.

We'd rather lose a sale than sell you something off-the-shelf software already does for less. That rule has cost us work. It is also why the work we do take on gets finished properly.

Node + link

Your till, your inbox, your booking diary, your accounts software — those are the nodes, and they already work. The expensive part is the person carrying information between them by hand. We build the links. That's the whole name, and most of the job.

The story

Built out of a back office, not a pitch deck.

Nodelink started inside a working food wholesaler, where orders arrived as WhatsApp messages and every line was re-typed into the accounts system by hand. We automated it — not as a demo, but because the re-typing was eating real hours and causing real mistakes. That system still runs today.

Everything we offer comes from that experience: automation has to survive contact with a messy, busy, real business, and it has to know when to stop and ask a human instead of guessing.

How we work

Four rules we don't break.

01

Never guess at your data

Every system we build has a gate: a point where it stops and asks a human rather than inventing an answer. A wrong invoice costs more than a slow one.

02

No invented case studies

We show one real client system, described accurately, because that is what exists. When we've shipped more, this site will say so — and not before.

03

Ballparks, never blind quotes

A fixed price given before seeing your setup is usually wrong, and someone pays for being wrong. You get a written, fixed quote after a 15-minute look — and rough ranges before it, so there are no surprises.

04

Say when software beats us

If an off-the-shelf tool already solves your problem for £8 a month, we will tell you that in the first conversation. Our paid work starts where the off-the-shelf tools stop.

The point of it all

From tangle to through-line.

A good automation is boring. The order arrives, the invoice raises, the reminder sends — and nobody thinks about it again. The week gets its hours back, and the people in the business go back to the part of the job that actually needed them.

That's what we're selling: not technology, the absence of a chore.

Who you'll deal with

Two people. No account managers.

The people you meet are the people who do the work — for larger design and build projects we extend with trusted specialist craft under our direction, with one point of contact, one scope and one invoice.

The first conversation is free

Fifteen minutes. A straight answer.

If it isn't worth automating, we'll say so.
